Best Arma Reforger Mods in 2025
The Arma Reforger modding community has grown exponentially since the game's release. With over 28,687 mods available on the Workshop, players and server administrators have access to an incredible variety of content to customize their experience.
Top Weapon Mods
Weapon mods are among the most popular downloads in Arma Reforger. The community has created everything from modern assault rifles and sniper systems to historical weapons from various eras. Key weapon mod frameworks like WCS (Weapon Configuration System) allow mod creators to add realistic weapon handling, attachments, and ballistics.
Popular weapon packs include NATO and Russian military equipment, as well as civilian firearms for roleplay scenarios. Many weapon mods feature detailed 3D models, custom animations, and authentic sound effects.
Vehicle and Aircraft Mods
Vehicle mods bring a huge variety of transportation options to Arma Reforger. From military vehicles like tanks, APCs, and IFVs to civilian cars and trucks, the selection is vast. Helicopter and aircraft mods are particularly popular, with projects adding everything from transport helicopters like the UH-60 Black Hawk to attack aircraft.
Project Redline is one of the most comprehensive vehicle mod collections, featuring detailed models with functional interiors, realistic physics, and proper damage systems.
Map and Terrain Mods
While Arma Reforger's Everon map offers diverse terrain, modders have created additional maps featuring different environments and settings. These include urban combat zones, desert landscapes, dense forests, and fictional conflict areas inspired by real-world locations.
Game Mode and Mission Mods
Beyond the vanilla Conflict and Game Master modes, the community has developed numerous custom game modes. These include survival scenarios, PvE missions, roleplay frameworks, and competitive game modes. Many servers run heavily modded experiences with custom objectives and progression systems.
Faction and Unit Mods
Faction mods add new military units with complete equipment loadouts, uniforms, and organization. Popular additions include modern military forces like the Bundeswehr, British Armed Forces, and various special operations units. Historical faction mods also allow for Cold War and other era-specific scenarios.
How to Find the Right Mods
With thousands of mods available, finding the right ones for your server or play session can be challenging. Use our mod browser to search by category, sort by popularity or recent updates, and read descriptions before downloading. Pay attention to mod dependencies - many mods require other mods to function properly.
Mod Compatibility Tips
When running multiple mods on your server, load order matters. Framework mods and dependencies should typically load first. Check mod descriptions for known compatibility issues and always test mod combinations before deploying to a production server. Our config generator helps you organize your mod list correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I install mods in Arma Reforger?
For singleplayer and client-side, simply subscribe to mods in the Workshop. For dedicated servers, you need to add the mod IDs to your server's config.json file in the mods array. The server will automatically download and load the mods on startup.
Where do I find a mod's ID?
Each mod has a unique 16-character hexadecimal ID. You can find this in the Workshop URL or on the mod's page. Our mod browser shows the ID for each mod and lets you copy it directly.
Can I use mods on console (PS5/Xbox)?
Yes! Arma Reforger supports mods on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Console players can browse and subscribe to mods through the in-game Workshop. Cross-platform servers can use mods as long as all players have the required mods installed.
What are mod dependencies?
Some mods require other mods to function. These are called dependencies. For example, many weapon mods require a framework mod like WCS. Always check the mod description for required dependencies and add them to your server before the dependent mod.
How do I update mods on my server?
By default, setting the version to "latest" in your config.json will automatically download the newest version when the server starts. You can also specify a specific version number if you want to lock to a particular release.
Why isn't my mod loading?
Common issues include: incorrect mod ID format, missing dependencies, incompatible game version, or corrupted mod files. Check your server logs for specific error messages. Ensure the mod ID is exactly 16 characters and all dependencies are loaded first.
